COMPETITION DIVISIONS:
Shuffleboard is a singles and doubles competition according to age category. There will be both men and women divisions for singles. There will be no gender divisions for doubles. Mixed gender teams and same gender teams will compete according to age categories based on the age of the youngest partner.
TOURNAMENT:
All shuffleboard matches will be conducted in accordance with National Shuffleboard Association rules, except as herein modified.
PLAYING RULES: LAG
- Opposing players will shoot a disk to the far black line (lag line). The disk can touch or cross the black line and be good.
- The disk nearer the lag line has color choice. Measurement is from center of disks to center of line.
PLAYING RULES: SINGLES
- Two singles matches will take place on each court at one time (non-walking singles).
- For each match, Yellow starts the match on the right.
- Players alternate shooting first. Yellow will shoot first in odd frames, black in even. Yellow will have the final shot of the last frame.
- Singles matches will consist of eight frames. The winner will be the player who has the highest number of points after eight frames.
- After four frames, players change sides – Yellow will now be on the left.
- In case of a tie, two extra frames will be played until the tie is broken.
PLAYING RULES: DOUBLES
- Doubles matches will consist of eight frames of which four will be played by each partner who will remain at their respective end of the court during the entire match. The team with the highest score at the end of eight total frames will be the winner.
- Yellow will shoot first in odd frames, black in even. Yellow will have the final shot of the last frame.
- In case of a tie, two extra frames will be played until the tie is broken.
EQUIPMENT
1. Players may bring their own cues. The cue shall not have an overall length of more than six feet, three inches (6’3”). No metal part of cue shall touch playing surface of court.
SCORING:
- This is an elimination tournament with winners progressing to playoff games.
- Winners will be determined by the number of wins.
- Winners will be awarded and receive in each age category below the gold, silver, and bronze medals.

Any circumstances not covered in these rules will be ruled upon by the Event Coordinator.
